Silver, or Coho, salmon is the backbone of the Alaska troll fishery. However, the majority of silveres are caught by the net fishery. Silver is unusually active and attractive fish and has very firm texture. The Coho ranges from 25 to 35 inches in length, and weighs from 2 to 12 pounds and larger fish to 33 pounds has been reported.
