ASMI Sponsors the new seasonal magazine of Odakyu Romance Car!

MSE model Odakyu Romance Car, the first ever resort and business express train connecting to a Tokyo Metro Chiyoda-line system, will start carry on-board brand new magazine 'Melloda-Roorooboo' from coming July 15th, 2008. ASMI will be one of the sponsors of this new concept seasonal magazine to provide the upscale audience with romantic and healing stories about wild and natural Alaska seafood. In the inaugurating magazine the main theme of the ASMI's 4-page 4 color articles will be 'Alaska where the comfort begins.' The magazine will be placed in every seat pocket of MSE model Romance Car trains.

Gearing to an exposure of Alaska seafood advertorials in the inaugurating magazine 'Melloda-Roorooboo' on Odakyu Romance Car express train, ASMI will tie-up with a renowned Italian Chef Yoshimi Hidaka to promote Alaska seafood menu in his famous restaurant 'Acquapazza' in Tokyo and in Hakone, Kanagawa. The premier will be the fresh pizza with the heartful topping of Alaska sockeye salmon and creamy cheese mousse being served from July 15th through end September as the summer special on the menu. The restaurant is adjacent to a Tamamura Toyoo Life Art Museum, located in the popular tourist cruise boat terminal in Lake Ahino-ko, Moto-hakone, Kanagawa prefecture.

The 2008 European Seafood Show

ASMI's main concept in the pavilion at the 2008 European Seafood Show (April 22-24, 2008, Brussels, Belgium) was 'Alaska Seafood, a Model for Sustainability.'

The envoys comprised of Alaska state legislators visited ASMI pavilion in the ESE this year, now the largest and the hottest venue for the business initiation and development for the Alaska seafood industry. Mr. Joe Bundrant, a newly elected ASMI chairperson, briefed the Alaska state senators and representatives on the significance of ESE participation and the recent business trends driven by the Alaska seafood industry.

ASMI for the first time set up Sustainability Information Center in the eye-catchy corner of ASMI pavilion during this year's ESE. The ASMI Pavilion was packed to attract the buyers from the multiple countries during the 3-day show. They were actively collecting the up-to-date information materials to learn from Alaska seafood industry, known as the international model for sustainability, about 'what is sustainable fishery in the true sense, and what it means to the customers who look for the safe, reliable and wholesome seafood today in the market places.'
